    This television series is a scripted half-hour surreal adventure about two security guards, Luca and Clyde, who are buddies. They both work on graveyard shift in Los Angeles. They are part of a graveyard culture, so to speak. Many interesting personalities work the graveyard shift. Some of these personalities go to The Blacklight when their shifts are over. The Blacklight is a tiki bar set on the beach in Venice, California. It’s always summer at The Blacklight. It opens at 6 am and caters to graveyard workers and beach-goers.

    Graveyard culture coexists with the normal, everyday 9-to-5 culture. Of course when the 9-to-5 culture is asleep, graveyard culture is working and experiencing the bazaar. When the 9-to-5 culture is not working, graveyard culture is out in mischief during the day. NEVER in this television series are the hours of 4 pm to 11 pm ever depicted or referenced in any way (with the possible exception of any of the characters dreaming). These hours do not exist for the graveyard culture. The same as the hours of 12 midnight to 7 am barely exist for the 9-to-5 culture.

    Luca and Clyde are sometimes assign to the same post and sometimes not. When not on the same post, they communicate often by cell phone. They both generally have upbeat attitudes and both belong to the graveyard culture without any hint that that will ever change.

    The regulars of the series often have day jobs. Some are students. Some are actors. They are anything that you can imagine. There is a complete source of information and expertise among them.

    Never does this series become terribly serious.

    Any sort of post / assignment is possible for these security guards. Construction sites, vacant buildings, gates, haunted houses, or anything needing the care of observant eyes. Of course during the graveyard shift, the people who are out and about are not always your ordinary sort of folks. Sometimes they can be very zombie-like! Often Luca and Clyde are held over from graveyard to do another shift during the day. So, Luca and Clyde have a large extended family of day-business workers. They look forward to seeing Luca and Clyde whenever fate desires that they be present.
